The MP3 feature is over four years old
and included on almost all DVD players made in the last few years.

"MP3" is an audio compression format that was developed to enable large audio files to be "compressed" and thereby fit on a CD or DVD disk. It is "transparent" to the user. Basically you don't even know it's there: MP3 compressed audio files play just like any other audio files.

If your DVD player is MP3 equipped It will have a MP3 logo on the face or, at least, be mentioned in the operators manual.

Regretably "Snowbirders Guide South Along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway" DVD video plays only on MP3 equipped DVD players. Lately MP3 equipped DVD players have become remarkably inexpensive. We saw one selling for only $29.95 at a nationwide chain electronics superstore which shall remain nameless. You can probably get a "best buy" there.
