Along The Intracoastal Waterway.
I have watched many videos on cruising and cruising related activities. Some of them are interesting, some of them are informative, some of them will bore you to sleep.
"Snowbirders Guide South Along The Intracoastal Waterway" combines sensible information, beautiful video, excellent graphics, and charming narration into one DVD set that takes you from Norfolk, Virginia, to Miami, Florida.
If you have never traveled the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, this DVD is for you. It has a considerable amount of information that will save you time, as well as money. You will learn where all the transient docks are located, as well as what is close by for shopping, eating, and hanging out with other boaters.
If you have traveled the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, I am certain you will learn five or ten things that you did not know before, which is well worth the price of the DVD set.
Do you need to know what bridges have special opening schedules, and what the schedules are? It is in the DVD. After watching the DVD, I felt confident that I could handle the trip with no problems whatsoever.
If you have never traveled anywhere by water, or dream of one day moving aboard a sailboat and cruising the southeast coast of the US, then this DVD set is for you too! The video of all the places Ken and Kaylynne vist on their trips south is first rate, and well organized. If you know nothing about navigation, the graphics will be interesting to you, and you will learn about what it takes to travel 1100 miles on a sailboat.
I grew up on the Intracoastal in Juno, FL, and when I was a kid, I always wondered where all those sailboats were coming from as they headed south. Now I know.
"Snowbirders Guide South Along The Intracoastal Waterway" is an excellent addition to any DVD library.
